Competition Training

We run separate training camps for students wishing to enter competitions, this class teach students more technical combinations and movements in a combat situation. The fundamentals of light continuous sparring format and the level of fitness and skills needed to succeed.

This class is not compulsory for all students only those who has aspirations of competing at the different levels. It’s is also possible for students to join this class to learn the technical side of fighting and not compete at tournaments.

Age Restrictions

We currently accept members from 14 years of age; however we are currently looking to expand and are liaising with leisure centres and health clubs in north London with regard to adding extra classes to our schedule. Our intention is to add extra classes for adults and children from the age of 8-13. Keep tuned to this site for further news and developments.

With hard work and dedication, training at least twice weekly and with additional technical training the estimated time to reach 1st Dan is three years. A LinkArts 1st Dan grade is similar to a 3 year university degree. Students can decide how to structure their training in order to reach their goal.

Fitness Training & Self-Defence

Extensive cardio workouts and self defence.

Kickboxing is also used as a form of fitness training; some participants who do not intend to take part in competitions attend classes and take part in all aspects of the training. Besides keeping your body fit, kickboxing has other benefits, it is estimated that you can burn anywhere from 500 to 800 calories an hour with LinkArts kickboxing!

LinkArts Kickboxing relieve stress, its rigorous workout, controlled punching and kicking movements carried out with the discipline and skills required for martial arts/boxing can do wonders for feelings of frustration and anger. Practicing LinkArts kickboxing techniques can also help to achieve all the fitness components mentioned earlier.

LinkArts Kickboxing fitness sessions are also a way to get a total body workout while learning simple self-defence techniques. Kickboxing practitioners say the sport help them to feel more empowered and confident.

Self defence is included in the curriculum and the basic grading techniques can be used in a self defence situation. We sometimes dedicate whole training sessions to self defence, where techniques are performed with different size and sex of opponents in order to replicate real life scenarios.
